MCS9820
The MCS9820 is a PCI based single-channel high performance UART. The MCS9820 offers 32-byte transmits and receives FIFO compatible with standard 32C550. The MCS9820 performs serial-to-parallel conversions on data received from a peripheral device, and parallel-to-serial conversions on data received from its CPU.
“MCS9820CV” is discontinued, “End of Life (EOL)” and replaced with “MCS980CV-BA”.
MCS9820CV-BA is an improved part with complete compatibility (i.e Pin to Pin, Features,
Software & Specifications) with MCS9820CV. Refer to the migration application note
for further details.
