MCS8144

The MosChip MCS8144 is a highly integrated and advanced RISC network appliance processor that can be used in a variety of products that require network connectivity. The CPU subsystem of the MCS8144 consists of a 525MHz, 32-bit ARM Compatible RISC microprocessor

Gigabit Networking Speeds (10/100/1000) are supported by the MCS8144, this solution contains a media access controller (MAC) and is fully compliant with IEE802.3 specifications

The MCS8144 integrates a display controller that supports TFT/STN LCD and TV monitors with display resolution support up to WXGA (1366 X 768)

Additionally, The MCS8144 network processor contains two USB 2.0 Compliant Host Ports. One of the ports can be configured as an OTG port. These ports have been designed to connect a wide range of USB-based devices to an Ethernet network (Internet or Intranet).

The PCI Express (PCIe) interface supported by the MCS8144 is fully compliant with PCI Express Base specifications, Revision 1.1. Two x 1 Lane Root PCI Express Ports are supported enabling connectivity to a variety of PCI Express devices such as 802.11x peripherals, Audio Controllers, PCI Express -SATA and PCI Express -IDE controllers. A 32 Bit, 262.5 MHz DDR2 SDRAM Memory Controller is supported by the MCS8144 that enables up to 1.5GB of memory space and supports On-Chip Termination.

The MCS8144 also supports a 16C550 compatible UART, I2C Interface complaint with Version 2.1, SPI Interface compliant with industry standard specifications and various power management modes.
