UART with 64 byte FIFO
The Nm16C750 is a single-channel high performance UART.
The Nm16C750 offers 64 bytes ransmit and receive FIFO,
and is backward compatible to standard 16C450/550 after
power up sequence. The Nm16C750 performs serial-to-parallel
conversions on data received from a peripheral device,
and parallel-to-serial conver-sion on data received from
its CPU. The Nm16C750 is ideally suited for PC applications,
such as high-speed COM ports. The Nm16C750 is avail-able
in 40-pin DIP, 44-pin PLCC, 48-pin QFP, and 64- pin VQFP
packages. It is fabricated using an advanced submicron
CMOS process to achieve low drain power and high-speed
requirements.
