General Description
The MCS1000 is a
highly integrated VPN System on Chip (SoC). It consists
of a 200MHz, 32-bit, ARM926EJ RISC microprocessor, three
10/100 Ethernet interfaces and IPSec acceleration hardware.
The processor core has a Memory Management Unit (MMU)
so that it can run Linux or an RTOS. The Ethernet interfaces
include a PHY so the chip can be connected directly
to Ethernet magnetics. The IPSec acceleration unit supports
AES, DES, 3DES, MD5 and SHA1/2. The MCS1000 is ideal
for a VPN Firewall Appliance or a Secure Network Interface
Card (NIC).
